Job Description & Summary

The DDV (Delivering Deal Value) team is a specialised group of technology professionals with a variety of deep skills and experiences. We typically engage with private equity and corporate clients, working alongside financial, people, legal and operational specialists. Our focus encompasses pre deal IT and technology platforms due diligence, carve out / integration planning, technology enabled value creation and post deal execution. We are comfortable working with investment bankers, corporate finance houses, magic circle lawyers and C suite - our typical IT contact is the CIO or CTO.

We are looking for Technical Product Managers at Manager and Senior Manager Level who have industry experience with developing and implementing software products/platforms in either an advisory on an M&A Capacity.

What your days will look like:

  • Playing a key role to drive our product technology area of work and work very closely with senior leadership to shape and develop the proposition and practice.

  • Help mentor / guide junior members of the team.

  • Cultivate relationships across PwC capability groups and externally; and drive our focussed alliance collaboration efforts in this space.

  • Advising on the development and execution of a technology product strategy and roadmap.

  • Scale the capability with practice build and team development in the UK and wider.

This role is for you if you have:

  • A broad technical understanding of product management and / or software development processes, concepts (especially in an agile environment) roadmaps and timelines. Experience / skills to include:

    • Developing and executing a technology product strategy and roadmap. 

    • Ability to undertake competitive analysis and apply a user centric, business focussed mindset, leveraging their practical understanding of how the products are built and managed.

    • Skilled in building the commercial picture - understand the customer need, monetisation and  strategy for addressing this in the roadmap.

    • Familiar with planning of new features and changes to a product (including research on use cases, market positioning and competitor analysis).

  • Proven ability to set out, change or evaluate product features/capability, technical specifications and solution architecture; and evaluate different technology options.

  • Strong technical skills including areas such as software development, designing system architectures, cloud platforms, security, database and network concepts

  • Expertise in defining or assessing engineering estimates and R&D budgets/ROI 

  • Deep familiarity with the workings of development, engineering and infrastructure teams.

  • Experience of developing and launching new / modernised products, including customer implementation and / or supporting technical sales and support functions.
