Your new role at NewDay

At NewDay, as a leader in our product community, your direction will be crucial in driving your teams to deliver outstanding digital experiences. You will have a clear product vision and expertly communicate and translate this to users, partners, and your product teams. Your ability to motivate yourself and others will be key to achieving success, as you work alongside a dedicated team of Product Owners and cross-functional teams.

Your passion for customers will shine through in creating and delivering compelling mobile app products. Reporting into the Head of Digital Products, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the product and technology strategy, ensuring both business and customer needs are met effectively.

As a Product Manager, you’ll be the main point of contact for your product area. You’ll oversee the delivery of new capabilities and improvements, while guiding your teams to ensure consistent and high-quality performance. A key part of your role will involve engaging directly with key clients and other strategic partners to drive business development and ensure that client needs are understood and incorporated into the product development process.

You’ll:

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated multi-functional team, including Product Owners, empowering them to innovate and deliver product improvements efficiently.

  • Shape and drive the product vision and strategy for the Digital Servicing product, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs and client requirements.

  • Create, manage, and update product roadmaps, balancing strategic priorities, service performance goals, and customer experience enhancements while also ensuring client deliverables are met.

  • Monitor product performance, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvements and identify areas for optimisation.

  • Maintain oversight of UX/UI enhancements, ensuring they align with the product vision and deliver a seamless customer experience.

  • Work closely with senior leadership, clients and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on product strategy and progress.

  • Advocate for agile best practices, ensuring effective delivery and continuous improvement across product teams.

  • Take ownership of the product’s performance, driving accountability across the team and ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.

What you’ll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  • A challenger’s mindset with the confidence to take informed risks, influence new ideas, and trial innovative methodologies.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers, internal and external stakeholders, including clients and other key partners, leveraging these connections to drive alignment and deliver value.

  • Excellent prioritisation and decision-making skills, with experience in building compelling change arguments, managing business priorities, and leading product backlog decisions.

  • Proven ability to work with challenging users, stakeholders and clients to elicit feedback, manage expectations, and balance short-term value with a long-term strategic vision.

  • Proven experience in managing the full product lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap creation to execution and optimisation, navigating multiple trade-offs and making quick decisions along the way.

  • Strong coaching skills, with experience developing and mentoring a team of product owners under your leadership.

  • A strong product management track record, including product design and technical development, with experience launching and scaling products while managing complexity and fast-paced decision-making.

And would love you to know or learn:

  • Client-facing B2B experience, particularly in building and maintaining relationships with external clients and supporting business development efforts.

  • Experience in delivering consumer-facing digital products that scale and have a tangible impact on customer experience.

  • Background in working in a fast-growing FinTech or financial services environment.

  • Certifications in agile methodologies, such as Scrum or SAFe, are a plus.
