Head of Product, Product Management – Peer-to-peer Fundraising

What is the role

You will lead the Peer-to-peer Fundraising Product Team for Blackbaud including consumer facing and technical product managers to define global product strategy, end-to-end portfolio product vision and roadmaps that guide all areas of Blackbaud in delivering on customer value.  You will strengthen our retention, go-to-market and technology strategies while relentlessly communicating what and why behind our prioritized investments.  You are an expert in business case development, an influencer and an orchestrator who balances priorities to deliver results while also delivering continuous improvement. In short, you will be the “CEO of Peer-to-peer Fundraising”.

About the Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Portfolio

With over 179M in revenue, the Digital Giving portfolio includes capabilities that drive Peer-to-peer events, Consumer P2P, Org-led P2P, National P2P Events and Enterprise Online Marketing and Enterprise Digital Giving through our Luminate Online, Team Raiser and JustGiving products.

Immediate focus for this leadership role is:

  • Grow peer-to-peer fundraising across geographies
  • Balance innovation with retention to drive double digit growth
  • Adopt SAFe as the Product Development model

What you’ll do

  • Manage P&L for Peer-to-peer Fundraising
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high performing team of product managers all levels.
  • Translate customer needs and technical capabilities into a coherent market strategy and prioritized portfolio of products and services.
  • Drive our product organization to take a metrics-driven, financial, and adoption-oriented approach to prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Ensure clear functional, non-functional, and non-negotiable specifications are developed for all areas of the product and services portfolio and monitor product development from discovery through delivery and implementation.
  • Partner with peers in engineering, infrastructure, PMO, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and other functions to drive world class execution of the roadmap.
  • Define opportunities for new markets through identification of gaps and align Buy-Build-Partner Strategies and roadmaps to fill in gaps.
  • Pricing and solution packaging - Be the catalyst for innovative solutions which solve needs and problems our customers do not even know they have.
  • Work with Executive Leadership and peers to establish strategy and execution plans.
  • Evaluate new technologies to determine feasibility and desirability of integrating those capabilities into the portfolio.
  • Create, implement, and drive business processes, system improvements and new practices with a relentless focus on continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

  • 12+ years of experience managing and developing digital products as demonstrated via experience in software, technology and/or consulting
  • 10+ years building and nurturing high performing teams
  • Ability to drive business outcomes and collaboration across product and engineering teams
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and able to influence at all levels in the organization in a highly matrixed structure
  • Strong product intuition and user empathy
  • Deep experience in digital product development
  • Strong in analytics, structured, data-driven and have good interpersonal skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment and can meet deadlines under tight time constraints
  • Strong product manager and have experience in leading cross-functional teams and motivate them to go the extra mile
  • Ability to manage and prioritize dozens of requirements, deadlines, and projects
  • Experienced in conducting user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, and analytics
  • Deep Knowledge of Lean and Agile software development processes
