What you’ll be doing

  • Define Product Strategy and Vision: Lead the development and communication of a clear product vision and strategy for internal tools and systems, ensuring alignment with the company’s overarching goals and operational needs.
  • Prioritize Features and Enhancements: Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and oversee the roadmap for internal products, driven by business needs, user feedback, and stakeholder input.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with internal teams (IT, Operations, etc.) to gather insights, ensuring that the internal products effectively meet their requirements and business objectives.
  • Oversee Product Development: Work in close collaboration with development and engineering teams to design, build, and launch internal products, ensuring they align with user needs and contribute to business success.
  • Monitor Product Performance and Metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and gather user feedback to assess product effectiveness, using data-driven insights to continuously optimize and enhance internal tools.
  • Ensure Smooth Product Adoption: Lead efforts to onboard teams to new tools and systems, offering training and addressing adoption challenges or resistance to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Manage Stakeholder Expectations: Keep stakeholders informed on product updates, timelines, and changes, ensuring alignment and effectively managing expectations across departments.

What we're looking for in you

  • Experienced in Product Management & Development: Proven track record in product management, including product design, technical development, and working with cross-functional teams in the tech space.
  • Domain Expertise: In-depth experience in Payments, Fraud, Financial Crime, or Financial Services is essential to understand the complexities and regulations in fintech.
  • Passion for FinTech: A strong passion for the fintech industry and delivering best-in-class product suites that drive innovation and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in Product-Led Environments: Proven ability to work in a product-led, fast-paced, and dynamic fintech environment, aligning teams around a shared product vision.
  • Stakeholder Management Skills: Skilled in managing relationships across all levels of the organisation, including executives, cross-functional teams, and external partners. Able to remain calm and measured in all conversations.
  • Payments Landscape Knowledge: Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including push payments, data products, loyalty and offers, and authorisation capabilities. Awareness of key challenges and opportunities in these areas.
  • Business Acumen and Communication: Excellent business acumen with a bias for action, a passion for continuous learning, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Agile Methodologies Experience: Solid experience working within Agile development frameworks, including creating Epics, User Stories, and writing clear Acceptance Criteria.
  • User-Centric Approach: A deep, empathetic understanding of users gained through research, interviews, data analysis, and usability testing, to ensure products meet real user needs.
