The team

Issuer Services

The Issuer Services team sits within the Markets business of the London Stock Exchange Group. The team’s directive is to build and maintain relationships with current and future issuers, intermediaries and Global corporates. As part of this, the team builds digital products and services for issuers and the broader financial ecosystem within the Issuer Services platform: www.lsegissuerservices.com.

Each of our issuers automatically gets a log-in for the platform. In addition to this we have built and continue to build out our capability for non-London listed clients to access the platform and services.

Our core clients are the Investor Relations teams, treasury functions and the c-suite within public and private companies. We aim to offer them a range of products and services through the platform. These areas range from data & intelligence, live streaming to content creation and consumption.

The role

You willwork with the existing product team, business and tech team to define and implement the product roadmap. You will act as the product owner for a cross-functional Scrum team spanning engineering, business analysis, testing, UX/UI, architecture and DevOps or equivalent experience. The technology team is distributed across the UK, Poland and Romania.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the business to lead product ideation in collaboration with end users, internal and external customers, sales, marketing, customer success, risk, legal and senior leadership.
  • Communicating progress, key decisions, compromises, and constraints to a wide range of partners. Rationalising key decisions, gaining consensus, and establishing relationships.
  • Communicating the product vision and requirements to the Scrum team as well and wider partners. Writing product requirements as well as epic and user stories when needed.
  • Prioritising the product backlog, making decisions around ‘releasability’, and steering the Scum team on the direction of travel.
  • Being available to Scrum team members for detailed discussions when needed.
  • Leading the user journey and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensuring seamless and fabulous UX. Evaluating UX trade-offs to arrive at strategic decisions.
  • Leading design processes by partnering with designers and artists.
  • Performing market and user research to ensure product-market fit.
  • Collaborating with internal and external suppliers and leading the implementation of vendor contracts.
  • Supporting and driving internal approval, governance, and reporting processes.
  • Feeling comfortable ‘rolling up their sleeves’ to be involved in different aspects of the product development process to ensure successful releases.
  • Supporting the resolution of incidents affecting the production environment by making key decisions quickly.
  • Performing demos, gathering feedback, and ensuring a short feedback loop between releases and new development.
  • Acting as an evangelist for the product and motivating partners to support its success.
  • Collaborating with other LSEG Product Managers deliver integrations.
  • Willingness to become a subject matter expert in Issuer Services feature sets.

Key behaviours and skills

  • Professional experience
    • At least 3-4 years of experience as a product manager/owner.
    • Consistent record of delivering sophisticated web products from start to finish (Product specification, UI/UX design, MP definition & delivery, go to market planning and iterative improvements).
    • A good understanding of the technical aspects of delivering web-based products.
    • Demonstrable experience in driving early design concepts and partnering with UX and UI experts to ship spectacular user-centric products.
    • Demonstrable experience of taking a significant user need and designing a solution.
    • Demonstrable experience in leading complex dependencies across many collaborators.
    • Candidates with limited financial services experience are encouraged to apply. We are looking for individuals that have shipped leading products.
    • Experience leading multi-disciplinary product teams.
    • Experience in working within an agile delivery methodology and playing a pivotal role in all associated ceremonies

    • Demonstrable experience working in an Agile development environment.
    • Ability to rely on previous experience to influence strategic directions and guide senior stakeholder decisions.
  • Other:
    • Experience with media, e-commerce and/or webcasting products is a plus.
    • Knowledge of investor relations is a plus.
    • Experience working with multimedia products and SaaS strategies a plus.
