Your new role At NewDay

Our team, Product & Marketing, embraces product and marketing as two sides of the same coin. We understand the needs of our customers, develop a well-governed product roadmap, and ensure that customers understand - and are engaged with - the features and benefits of their products. You’ll be an integral part of our dynamic team contributing to the development and enhancement of our credit card products, with a particular focus on driving in-life habitual loyalty and customer engagement. You’ll work across our carded products (including Aqua, Marbles, Fluid, John Lewis and partners, Pulse and Bip) ensuring we deliver customer outcomes in line with NewDay’s manifesto and the brand values, whilst remaining relevant, competitive, commercially viable within the UK market.

0-12 months you’ll

• Support the development of comprehensive product strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals, informed by an understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes

• Contribute to the development of customer-centric product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the overarching product strategy

• Drive forward and implement recommendations to optimise our products to deliver excellent customer outcomes, customer experience and commercial results

• Lead execution of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, leading and co-ordinating cross-functional SMEs, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales

• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stay abreast of industry trends to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation

• Define and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success of product strategies

• Analyse performance data and provide regular reports to leadership, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

• Stay informed about UK financial regulations and ensure that all credit card products adhere to compliance requirements including Consumer Duty and Consumer Credit regulation


• Champion a collaborative and innovative culture within the Product & Marketing team and across the organisation

What you’ll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

• Demonstrated success in contributing to the development and launch of financial products

• Problem-solving capability, with demonstrable ability to consider trade-offs to solve business problems

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to drive informed decision-making.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across various functions

• The UK credit card market, including emerging trends and the regulatory environment

• A solid understanding of the UK credit card market, customer behaviours, and preferences

• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
