Role: Product Manager – The Sun Core
Location: London Bridge
Contract: Permanent
The Sun is one of the UK’s strongest brands and, like all media organisations, is having to adapt rapidly to overcome the uncertainties of a fast-moving digital world. Our website The Sun is more than a newspaper. It is an instigator, an entertainer, a cultural reference point, a finger on the pulse, a daily relationship.
Team: The Sun Product Team owns several digital products across the brand, including Sun Savers, Sun Web and Mobile Apps, and the Sun Classic digital newspaper.
Role: As a Product Manager within The Sun Product Team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of The Sun Web Product. Working closely with a cross-functional team, you will drive the discovery and implementation of new and existing product streams that align with the business missions. You will use data-driven methodologies, including test-and-learn approaches, to make informed decisions and deliver impactful features.
In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to implement features and improvements that align with the overall product strategy. You will also support the Head of Product in delivering the product roadmap and strategy, focusing on key areas such as security, compliance, performance, and platform simplification.
Day to day you will:
Be responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of products in line with business missions and product strategy.
Assist in managing The Sun Web development roadmap, offering options to stakeholder groups to gain approval.
Prioritise requests to maximise business value while ensuring efficiency of time and resources.
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Collaborate with wider technology teams to align with and contribute to the delivery of the overall technology roadmap.
What we are looking for in you:
Relevant experience in a product or portfolio management role.
A strong degree of technical acumen to understand and contribute to technical discussions.
The ability to work under tight timescales, think creatively, and deliver innovative products and solutions that meet customer needs.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
If you believe you have the skills and passion to succeed, even if you don’t meet every requirement on the list, we encourage you to apply. We value potential just as much as experience and are eager to hear from individuals who are enthusiastic about learning and growing with us.
