how you will contribute
As a product manager MSP/VMS x-one, you are one of the strategic leaders and visionary for a collection of products all focused on x-one supporting our talent and client journeys while engaging with our services. You will be leading development and ongoing optimization's of Randstad’s process & product solution in x-one related to MSP, VMS, independent contractors, and affiliate vendors. You will be setting up the global solution x-one in relation to MSP/VMS solutions in local markets and external parties, driving the roadmap, aligning on strategy, detailing out process end to end, detailing out requirements, and delivering functional designs to prepare for the build of x-one.
For service-oriented products, this often involves managing complex workflows to ensure efficient service delivery to both internal stakeholders and external clients. To achieve this, you act as a proactive leader, aiming to innovate and elevate critical aspects of the product's ecosystem. This could include streamlining processes such as client/talent interactions, administrative operations, connecting to client solutions, and exchanging data between internal & external sources.
You will oversee a functional team, often comprising Product Owners and Business Analysts, who will execute specific aspects of the product lifecycle under your guidance. The x-one products play a critical role in enabling core business functions, supporting front-line operations, and ensuring transactional efficiency. You will be working cross-platform and cross-program, leading and communicating the features to be built, and keeping everyone on track so that each feature works end to end across tech stacks, frequently partnering with your fellow product managers.
By aligning with organizational objectives, your leadership ensures the product not only meets current needs but also evolves to address future challenges, driving value and operational excellence. Success will be measured based on first-time right delivery of services against lowest costs possible.
what you will be doing
Your main responsibility is to produce successful process & product designs which build towards the best possible solution for people using and impacted by solutions through close collaboration with research, service design, external market suppliers and product development. In this case, you are working on an application that allows Randstad’s consultants globally to perform their work in the most efficient way possible: managing talent, sales, job vacancies and related services like MSP, VMS, affiliate vendors, independent contractors etc.
You will be owning the roadmap on topics such as:
translate the market trend, the client & talents needs and expectations into strategy and roadmap
align closely with (global) stakeholders on products and features needed to support the defined processes and delivery model
you work closely with the process team to define the global process L1-5 for MSP, VMS, independent contractors, affiliate vendors
you are responsible for the product design, roadmap, mock-ups and priorities in the backlog, leading the POs to deliver on your instruction.
lead, manage, and document the product roadmap based on user research, competitive analysis, understanding of the market, and business stakeholder feedback
responsible for growing the performance of the product across all countries
provide analysis, recommendations and product strategy definition for key areas of recruiting, sales, service delivery execution related to the client journey.
collaborate with partners throughout the organization –client and delivery team, talent team, product team, process team, Marketing, UX, Data Science, development, business teams, and architects
define and design across the tech stack with architects and execute user experience with UX experts, and align with opCo on specific topics with the subject matter experts
you will be responsible for guiding our globally dedicated teams, being the voice of the various sets of customers and making sure that all the relevant information is given to the relevant development team.
you will help manage and maintain stakeholder relationships across the entire organization, including at C-suite level
prepare and give demos, train team to give demos
manage expectations of planning and available products
who will you work with
As part of the process & product design team, you work together with the process (PET) team, UX & research team, product managers of the website, talent app, client portal, front and the midoffice (x-one).
In this role you will report to Jacinta van den Heuvel head of process and product team..
what you will bring
You have strong analytical skills to understand complex operational environments and identify opportunities for improvement, with a minimum of 5-7 years experience. You want to understand how things really work, both high-over and in detail. You like to think in and work with processes, workflow and designing these. You put your user at the core of everything while designing and don't lose sight of the business goals that need to be achieved.
You bring knowledge and experience on MSP, VMS and which constructions are allowed in which markets. Are a sparring partner with RSR, Inhouse, midmarket master vendor, enterprise delivery centers, freelancing platforms and local and global IT colleagues who work on integrations and flows.
And you have the experience to build process and product design solution on integrations of X-One platforms (C-One, A-One, R/M-One, E-One) and building workflows for:
Affiliate vendor/master vendor setups, where we are the master vendor
Farming out orders for affiliate vendor recruitment
Supplier vetting
Pricing towards suppliers
Candidate flows
Timesheet integrations
Invoice reconciliation
VMS integrations, per VMS system, where we are the supplier
Ingest requisitions
Route requisitions to correct unit or delivery center based on subspecialty
Create talent in VMS
Submit candidates to clients
Place winning candidates
Timesheet integrations
Invoice reconciliation
etc
Clear understanding (to be able to design solutions) and high level of knowledge of:
the differences in markets where the pass-through variant is used vs the triad MSP setup and can design based on that knowledge
compliance insurance for affiliate vendor and independent contractor models
self billing of independent contractors
blue collar/OTS VMS systems with scheduling vs Professionals recruitment of temporary employees or independent contractors
project setup of RPO and other large outsourcing projects in X-One
integration between customer ATS systems and X-One

your background
bachelor’s (BA or BS) degree in business, IT, or other related field or relevant experience
at least 8 years of working experience, of which 3+ years leading projects as a process manager and/or product owner
understanding of different ways of working (waterfall, project management etc) methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up-to-date on industry standards and best practices
managing implementation and changes experience
a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to implement quality solutions
