The Product Owner is a highly skilled and experienced individual, who has a strong background in agile product delivery, possess in-depth knowledge of JIRA and Confluence, and demonstrates the ability to create and maintain product roadmap/vision and delivery for KPMG’s GenAI tool: AVA. Their main goal is to ensure that AVA is progressing in alignment with the firm’s AI Strategy, and the firm’s technology delivery processes, and maximises the return on investment by applying a product lens to the delivery.

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Interpret AI strategy and translate it into actionable product features and enhancements for AVA, with technical detailing.
  • Create and maintain the product vision (roadmap), ensuring alignment with strategy, business objectives and customer needs.
  • Make day-to-day product and feature related decisions within the delegated authority.
  • Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with product roadmap.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery.
  • Utilise and maintain JIRA (Scrum board, Backlog) to track and communicate project progress and deliverables.
  • Adhere to EWT Product Owner Practice ways of working and deliver the product in line with KPMG’s technology delivery processes and standards
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and other project contributors such as change management, project management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and document product requirements technically to be consumed by the development team.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product delivery performance, adjusting as necessary to ensure successful delivery alongside the project manager.
  • Create product usage metrics and analyse them for decision-making, supply information for ROI discussions for senior stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in the field of generative AI.

 

What will you need to do it?

 

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in agile product development.
  • Strong knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and other agile project management tools and underlying agile practices.
  • Strong understanding of considerations for technology development and delivery within a large regulated professional services firm
  • Familiarity with other collaboration tools such as Miro and M365.
  • Familiarity with KPMG’s internal data sources and technology environment
  • Ability to effectively capture, document and prioritise technical project requirements.
  • Experience in driving product vision/roadmap.

 

 

Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:

 

  • Familiarity with generative AI concepts and applications is a plus.
