As a Product Owner CES you will Manage the CI development process delivering the digital product vision. Continuously develop a digital product that enhances the customer experience and enables GK to deliver significant revenue growth targets.

Improve the effectiveness of our Customer Engagement Platform, operating, scaling and continuously improving multiple Customer Engagement technologies - including a Customer Data Platform (CDP), campaign activation platforms, consent and preference centres - all to ensure customers receive a best-in-class personalised and targeted experience across Greene King brands

Job Description

Please note this is a 12 month FTC

Your role as Product Owner CES

  • Management of CI plan that supports c£25m sales pa across the brands
  • Management of the product development plan that supports profit growth of £40m sales pa
  • Own and manage the product backlog, including requirements, definition and refinement of user stories, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies
  • Translate high-level product roadmap into achievable product backlog items.
  • Design and develop features that increase revenue and improve customer experience
  • Ensure QA of the platforms and the testing and release process is robust
  • Tracking and measurement of product and financial KPIs
  • Use data to inform the decision-making process and work in a cross functional in-house team
  • To work closely with external partners to ensure the best possible solutions for digital products
  • Help educate and embed product methodology within the business
  • To be the voice of the customer for the digital product within the business
  • Provide insight for defining and planning the overall Product Roadmap based on specialised knowledge
  • Scaling use cases and being a key contributor to the implementation process in the short, medium and long term 
  • Supporting the strategic use of the Platforms and helping unlock value for multiple areas of the business (including in pub) 
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of projects  
  • Champion product methodology for marketing technology 
  • Identify opportunities within Technologies roadmaps to implement supporting Greene King’s use cases 
  • Scaling of campaign deployment, which relies on automations and technology and not additional team bandwidth  
  • Skills development and support within the digital marketing and customer data teams  
  • Align to Digital and Customer engagement strategy to reflect within product 

What you’ll bring… 

  • Significant experience in a Digital and/or eCommerce environment 
  • Experience working as a Product Owner or Product Manager 
  • Experience with an agile working environment 
  • Knowledge of platforms such as mParticle, Treasure Data, Braze, Adobe, dotdigital, Moveable Ink, Validity  
  • Proven experience of working with large organisation system integrators  
  • Proven experience of working with Mar Tech products and Partners  
  • Prior experience in working with large-scale, high volume, real-time customer-centric applications and digital infrastructure 
  • Experience working within an agile, scrum environment in digital product development
  • Experience writing detailed User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, etc.
  • Experience working with and developing consumer-facing digital technologies, such as websites and/or apps, ideally in a retail, hospitality, leisure, travel, or equivalent environment.
  • To be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively to the wider business.
  • Personable and able to bring other people on the journey.
  • Has a curious and inquisitive mindset by nature – always questioning the ‘why’ as well as the ‘what’ and ‘how’ to constantly challenge the status quo.
  • Obsessed with customer experience and exceptional execution.
  • A genuine desire to work within the pub and restaurant sector.
