We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner with a background in the financial sector and experience in public cloud. In this pivotal role, you will drive the design, implementation, and optimiation of Worldpay’s global multi-cloud network, ensuring that it supports our strategic goals, satisfies business and technical requirements, and delivers exceptional value.

About the team

We are assembling a world-class Cloud Network Engineering team to build our next-generation network in the cloud. The team will adopt modern DevOps practices and SRE principles to deliver fully automated and observable capabilities in two key areas:

Platform Networking – foundational shared network infrastructure that supports automated vending of application environments, including VPC/VNet provisioning, DNS, transit routing, centralized security services, and hybrid and cross-cloud connectivity.

Application Networking – self-service network capabilities consumable via web forms, GitOps workflows, or pre-approved IaC modules; developed in collaboration with the core network automation team.

What you’ll own

• Requirement Elicitation and Backlog Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications. Co-manage and prioritize the backlog, breaking down epics into detailed features and user stories.
• Solution Design and Process Improvement: Work with the Cloud Network Architect to design innovative solutions that address business challenges and align with strategic goals. Identify areas for process optimization and recommend improvements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment with our team. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Documentation and Testing: Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories. Participate in system and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet specified requirements and quality standards.

2 days a week hybrid London While we’re a large team of global Worldpayers, we have collaborative spaces and regular opportunities to celebrate with each other in person.
 

What you’ll bring
 

• Proven ability to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and managing backlogs by breaking down epics into detailed features and user stories.
• Experience in designing innovative solutions with system architects, optimizing processes, and aligning improvements with strategic goals.
• Excellent communication skills for updating stakeholders, managing expectations, and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Extensive experience in creating and maintaining detailed project documentation and participating in testing to ensure solutions meet requirements and quality standards.
• Experience delivering products and solutions in one or more major CSPs; preferably AWS and Azure.
• Experience operating in a hybrid environment with infrastructure and applications spanning multiple cloud and on-premises locations.
