Hours: Full time 

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Leeds office. 

About this opportunity: 

We're looking for a Product Owner join our team, to prioritise tasks and ensure the team delivers value to customers and collaborators. This is achieved by coordinating the release of incremental value in a feature or technology component. 

The role is within the “Stockbroking Lab” which supports Halifax Share Dealing Ltd. which is the Retail Direct to Customer Execution Only investment business of Lloyds Banking Group, providing investment products across the Groups’ well-known brands including Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland. 

We deliver on a range of initiatives using agile tools and methodologies to iteratively release value for Customers and the Group, aligning to our purpose of Help Britain Prosper; the lab and our colleagues are making a difference individually and collectively, through the work we do to get the right outcomes for the customer. 

As a Team Product Owner, you collaborate with the business and your team in building and delivering initiatives that achieve outstanding customer results. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Own the launch of new customer and colleague journeys by taking on the delivery of product features across the platform from conceptualisation phase to live ensuring we focus on the benefits being released to the customer and the business. This will be key for us as we grow and attract customers with new features across our channels. 
  • Liaise with customer journey managers and engineers to understand and breakdown the work into increments of releasable value and subsequently supervise that delivery and associated benefits. 
  • Prioritise, refine and be responsible for the team product backlog and work with the other product owners and lab leadership refine the overall backlog for the Lab. 
  • Own change governance and ensure this is completed with the support of the team in line with encouraged guidelines and frameworks. 
  • Readiness activities (e.g., training and comms, testing and readiness for implementation) for their respective features, journeys or technology components.

What you’ll need: 

  • Product Owner experience. Leading and being responsible for a backlog where you’ve made priority decisions and have been able to explain these across a variety of changes. You’ll have experience supervising the benefits through realisation across customer, commercial and technology change. 
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the UK investments market, acquired through both operational and project roles to ensure that features delivered meet the industry standard. 
  • Experience to plan and run resources and budgets, ensuring the production of outstanding product features that consistently provide value while ensuring that tasks are prioritized and run effectively. 
  • Shown experience of working closely with collaborators up to director level as well as being able to lead and lead all aspects of a delivery team that is multi location UK and India. 
  • Understand RAID management and demonstrate examples of running delivery risks and escalation of these at the appropriate time and level. 
  • Have a level of understanding of technology to aid the team through blockers and ensure the solutions delivered are efficient in the context of the groups wider IT eco system.
