About the team

OSB Group has embarked on significant technology Transformation programme and we have a new opportunity to join our Group Transformation team as a Product Owner, within the Lending Domain. The role reports into the Lead Product Owner and will lead and lead an engineering feature team to design and build the new lending originations platform to transform the experience for brokers, borrowers and colleagues.

 

Transformation will deliver significant automation opportunities and seamless end to end customer experience. Whilst delivering at pace using agile practices you will be responsible for technology backlogs from shaping to live implementation aligned to the overall product strategy. Leading a feature team from the front you will drive business growth by understanding customer and business needs and translating them into actionable product requirements. The role will work alongside other Product Owners and align with other labs focused on Savings, Payments, Data, and Cloud technologies.

 

The role has the flexibility to be based from Wolverhampton with regular travel or London and benefits from our hybrid-working policy of three days a week in the office and two days from home.

What you will be doing

As Product Owner, you will have a strong background and understanding of lending and mortgage originations in order to design and build our in house capability and knowledge. You will develop the product backlog whilst staying ahead of emerging trends, technologies and regulatory changes to ensure we remain competitive and compliant.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Own and drive the mortgages origination platform to transform experience and deliver expected business outcomes.

  • Understanding customer, broker and market needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Defining, prioritising and ensure clear communication of requirements to deliver product features using EPICS and user stories
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, risk, product, credit risk, underwriting

Could you be the one?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the skills set out below:

  • Strong track record of working a Product Owner or Product Business Owner within financial services that has been through transformation
  • Strong experience and knowledge of mortgage originations and lending processes
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry within a technology setting with a strong understanding of the UK market and customer needs is essential
  • Experience of Agile development methodologies is essential
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
