Vitesse operates one of the largest domestic banking and payment networks in the world, giving its customers direct access to more than 100 countries’ domestic payment networks, covering over 60 currencies. Through a single integration, merchants gain access to in-country payment routing, resulting in significantly lower payment costs and much faster delivery. To date, the company has processed over £10bn across more than 10 million transactions.

 

Vitesse is increasingly focussed on serving customers in the insurance market, provider insurers with improved liquidity management and faster claims settlement. This is our largest vertical in revenue terms and also the fastest growing largely as a result of success in the Lloyds of London market, where Vitesse has established itself as the market leader.

 

With cross-border B2B exports expected to increase to $21T (USD) by 2023, the market opportunity is significant and Vitesse has aggressive growth plans which include establishing a presence in the US market.  

YOUR MISSION

In support of our newly formed US entity, we are seeking to accelerate our US Insurance market specific product development, with a focus on US insurance claims experience. You will act as the Product Owner for this US market squad, responsible for shaping the mission and driving the squad to deliver against the vision.

 

You will work closely with internal subject matter experts including: Engineering, other product team members including BA and designers, Operations teams and Implementation.

This role will sit in the Product function, reporting into VP Product.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own the product backlog for your assigned theme.
  • Create and manage all epics, features and stories related to the changes in question, whether customer specific or to deliver against strategic objectives.
  • Clearly document and communicate requirements to the development team by running refinement sessions with your assigned development resource.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the journey that needs to be taken to reach the ultimate end feature goal, creating incremental steps where possible to reach the end complete feature deliverable.
  • Analyse overall business impact across all relevant stakeholders and create a plan to implement necessary changes.
  • Understand any wider client impact of implementing any changes and devise a communication plan in conjunction with your colleagues in the product team.
  • Input to product documentation to assist successful roll out to help maximise utilization of new features.
  • Track success post implementation by measuring KPIs.
  • Support the business where necessary with subject matter expertise on the changes that have been implemented.
  • Work with your product colleagues to ensure changes are coherent and consistent with a broader value proposition and bring as much benefit to as much of our client base and target market as possible.

 



Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in a B2B fintech, ideally with exposure to payment and treasury platforms in a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager role.
  • Knowledge of the US insurance claims market desirable but not a prerequisite
  • Must be highly analytical, organized and structured.
  • Versatility with ability to act as PO across different domains/products preferable to be adaptable to future change.
  • Technical understanding of Agile development practices.
  • Excellent communicator. You should be a people person with a proven track record of establishing, building and maintaining strong, high value relationships.
  • Passion for scale-ups with a mentality to get your hands dirty. You will be expected to provide live feedback on improvements to existing product features as you gain an understanding and also improve processes and ways of working
  • A team player, with the ability to relate well with co-workers, customers and partners and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and self-driven.


This is a 6 month Fixed-Term contract opportunity - however, due to growth in the business there is the likelihood of this to turn into a permanent opportunity later on down the line.
