Job Summary

As a Product Manager in Trade and Working Capital- Structured Working Capital, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive product strategy and vision focused on Structured Working Capital, particularly Receivables and Inventory Finance, to deliver significant value to customers.
  • Collaborate with Product partners across multiple trade products and regions to implement the Structured Working Capital (SWC) strategy and manage the portfolio. 
  • Oversee product-level governance, risk, and control environments, including product approvals, renewals, and cross-functional collaboration with Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams.
  • Ensure that products have obtained the necessary regulatory, control, and compliance approvals prior to launch and for ongoing renewals and updates.
  • Manage discovery efforts and conducts market research to identify customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
  • Take ownership of the rollout of new systems, working collaboratively with Technology to align with product parameters and enhance the client experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for second-line risk and product control partners, regulators, and local governance bodies.
  • Ensure readiness and coordinates reviews by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and internal audit teams.
  • Own, maintains, and develops a product backlog that supports the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
  • Build the framework and tracks key success metrics for the product, such as cost, features and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.
  • Liaise with Finance partners to ensure accurate reporting of the Profit and Loss (P&L) for global Structured Working Capital.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrate relevant level of experience or equivalent expertise in Trade Finance product management. 
  • Demonstrate relevant level of experience within Receivables Finance within a Bank or Factoring company.
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics.
  • Experience in working on innovative solutions for clients and developing the product to address bespoke client and market needs.
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization.
  • Experience in additional product sets - Inventory Finance, Borrowing Base Finance or Export Finance is advantageous.
  •  Experience in securitization is advantageous.
