The Role

As a Product Manager at Concirrus, you will own a product line or key feature set and play a pivotal role in driving the development, strategy, and delivery of innovative solutions for our customers. You will be at the intersection of business, technology, and customer experience, managing cross-functional relationships while leading a small team to execute on a dynamic product roadmap in a high growth Insurtech.


Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership:

  • Take full ownership of a product line or feature set, defining and executing the product roadmap aligned with company objectives.
  • Prioritise features and initiatives based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on your product area, ensuring it aligns with customer and market demands.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including customers, sales, engineering, and marketing, to gather input, drive alignment, and ensure product success.
  • Communicate effectively across teams to keep everyone informed about progress, challenges, and priorities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to resolve conflicting priorities and meet business goals.

Strategic Thinking:

  • Develop and drive the product strategy, identifying opportunities to differentiate in competitive markets.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and data to guide product direction and decision-making.
  • Define and monitor success metrics to ensure the product delivers on its promise.

Leadership:

  • Formally lead a small team of product specialists or analysts, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
  • Inspire collaboration and accountability across teams working on your product.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and excellence within the team.

Market and Customer Knowledge:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and workflows in the insurance industry.
  • Conduct competitive analyses to identify gaps and opportunities in the market.
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable product requirements.

Technical Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering and data teams to design and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to technical discussions to ensure feasibility and alignment with overall product goals.
  • Bridge the gap between business and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the development cycle.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a SaaS, technology, insurance or insurtech company.
  • Strong track record of owning and delivering successful products or features.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience handling complex, cross-functional relationships.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse data, anticipate market trends, and think critically about priorities.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, including customer needs, pain points, and competitive dynamics is highly desirable.
  • Technical fluency and experience working directly with engineering teams on product development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organisational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Experience of using digital product management tools or the ability to adopt these.
