About the role

The Product Manager Veeva QDocs (VQD) is responsible to lead the implementation, enhancement, and management of the VQD system. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, and external vendors, to drive the successful adoption and optimization of the VQD platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of VQD, in the life sciences industry, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Product Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of the VQD platform, managing its configuration, customization, and ongoing maintenance to meet business needs. Develop and maintaining a deep understanding of business processes, systems, and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal as well as external teams, to understand their requirements and translate them into effective VQD solutions.
  • Implementation and Rollout: Lead the implementation of VQD, including system setup, validation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GxP, FDA, etc.).
  • System Optimization: Continuously monitor and evaluate system performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving optimization initiatives.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with Veeva and other external vendors to manage software updates, patches, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure that the VQD platform is in compliance with all relevant regulations, such as GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other applicable standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the VQD system, coordinating with IT and Veeva support as needed.
  • Project Management: Lead the product team in adhering to Agile principles and methodologies, ensuring that product development processes are nimble, iterative, and responsive to changing market dynamics and customer needs. This includes overseeing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-up meetings, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and flexibility in the development process.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Computer Systems, Information Technology/Systems, Business Analysis
  • Direct experience with systems in the Veeva Development Cloud (QDocs, QMS, Validation, Training Vault etc). Current Veeva White Belt Certification is a MUST HAVE.
  • 9+ years of experience leading implementation or maintenance in a software development role, ideally in GxP environment, preferably in life sciences or pharmaceutical industry
  • 9+ years relevant experience in Product Management, Business Partnering in an IT product related industry, project management, and delivery including experience of working within Agile delivery methodology with an understanding of the system development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical background using metrics and data driven decision making.
  • Proven ability to work in self-organized teams in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
  • Strong English communication, teamwork and stakeholder management skills
  • Scrum Product Owner/Project Manager Certification a MUST HAVE

Preferred

  • Experience with change management in a regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, testing automation & Cloud.
