The Credit Platforms team serve a range of clients in the UK, providing lending platform solutions to a number of leading consumer finance businesses across retail finance, motor finance, unsecured lending, and mortgages.

We are looking to hire a Product Owner, this role will see you helping to shape the product strategy, defining product roadmaps, and successfully owning the product backlog. To succeed in this role, you will need a solid understanding of product management principles, possess strong stakeholder management skills and be an effective communicator at all levels within Lenvi and our clients.  

 

What You will be doing  

  • Be responsible for your product, collaborating with Senior Product Owners and Head of Product (Credit Platforms) to define the overall product strategy. 

  • Collaborate with Senior Product Owners and Head of Product (Credit Platforms) to define product roadmaps that maximise business value for the product that you are responsible for, ensure product teams are focused on the most important work 

  • Define a product vision for each item on the roadmap, where appropriate. 

  • Owning the product backlog, including routinely refining it to ensure it remains current. 

  • Owning the delivery of the product roadmap via iterative releases, ensuring high-quality releases are shipped on time and budget. 

  • Define goals for each product release, ensuring these are communicated and understood by the Product teams and the wider business. 

  • Identify and work with key stakeholders and clients for the product you are responsible for. 

  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to define user stories and acceptance criteria that elaborate the product roadmap items. 

  • Define and measure the success of each product release according to the goals that you defined, and work with the teams to drive continuous improvement. 

  • Ensure high-quality release notes are available to complement each release. 

  • Provide product and feature demonstrations. 

  • Provide final product acceptance and make overall decisions on production readiness. 

  • Make tactical decisions to keep the flow of delivery moving, spot problems early and act to resolve them. 

  • Be aware of trends in the UK lending sector and maintain a basic understanding of our competitors' product offerings, understanding the impact these have on our product strategy. 

 

 

What we would like to see from your application  

  • Demonstrable ability to lead with influence, not necessarily authority. 

  • Good understanding of Product Management and software delivery frameworks and methodologies. 

  • Understand which KPIs and metrics to track to optimise the product and deliver real value. 

  • Demonstrable understanding of modern software architectures and technologies, test automation and its role within the SDLC. 

  • Clear understanding of hosting platforms and technologies – IaaS, PaaS, Cloud models and their benefits/constraints in software and service delivery. 

  • Understanding of the UK lending sector and the role IT systems play within it. 

 

It will help if you have the following experience, but they’re not mandatory: 

  • Experience within a Fintech software company 

  • Achieved relevant Product Owner certifications such as CSPO or PSPO and a proactive approach to your continued professional development 

  • Working with and leading one or more cross-functional, geographically dispersed product delivery teams.
