DescriptionThe International Funds Product Management (IFPM) team is responsible for the development and management of traditional investment funds (mutual funds and ETFs) for the International Private Bank (IPB), a fund platform that provides pooled investment solutions to wealth management clients around the globe. The platform consists of both third-party and proprietary JPM funds, totaling over $120 billion in assets under management, with future growth anticipated.
The team builds, maintains, and develops relationships with leading investment managers to deliver active and passive investment vehicles across the brokerage, advisory and managed platforms.
Job Summary
The Solutions - Funds Product Manager, Vice President Strategic Initiatives in Wealth Management will lead strategic initiatives impacting the international funds business by aligning priorities to business needs, in coordination with senior stakeholders including Investment Due Diligence teams, Investment Governance Teams and Advisers. You will have a high degree of interaction with our different functional partners such as, Legal, Risk, Tax, Compliance and Middle Office. Building and maintaining relationships with fund houses, ETF providers and the fund industry in general is key to the role.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage strategic product initiatives, including those driven by business and regulation, requiring participation of cross-functional groups
- Coordinate the strategic initiative pipeline and related tasks for active, passive investment funds and ETFs; ensure results are delivered on-schedule while closely adhering to internal policies
- Establish and maintain relationships with fund houses, ETF providers, financial counterparties and internal stakeholders such as Advisors, Bankers and Investment teams
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the mutual fund and ETF offering
- Monitor and be aware of industry trends impacting the product palette
- Manage relationships with product stakeholders across regions and functions; provide information to business partners, operations, control teams and portfolio managers relating to product management
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Significant experience in financial services, with experience in wealth management or asset management
- Experience with EU domiciled regulated mutual funds (UCITS) and associated regulatory framework is required
- Strong organizational and project management skills; demonstrate high level of attention to detail and can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Highly motivated team player with proven problem solving ability; able to work in a fluid environment, act independently and coordinate with team and stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills; strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment to build consensus and influence outcomes
- Highly competent with core MS Office applications – e.g. Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience of working with fund distribution agreements is a plus
- Knowledge of programming language tools (i.e. Python) and business intelligence software is an advantage
